Privacy Policy

How Hermes Personal handles the Google data you choose to connect.

Overview

This policy describes how Hermes Personal, a private personal assistant, handles data when you authorize it to access your Google account. It covers only what this tool does with your data. Hermes Personal is operated by an individual for personal use.

What we access

Hermes Personal requests access only to the Google scopes you grant at authorization time. It does not collect or request anything beyond those scopes. Depending on what you authorize, that can include:

How we use it

Connected data is used to respond to the personal requests and analysis you ask Hermes Personal to carry out. That is the sole purpose: generating the reports and insights you request. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

Where data is processed and stored

Authorization credentials and the connected data are stored on the operator-controlled system that runs Hermes Personal. To fulfil a request, relevant slices of that data may be processed by the third-party AI provider this assistant is configured to use, so the provider receives only the information needed to answer what you asked for. No data is sold or shared for advertising.

Your control and requesting deletion

You can revoke Hermes Personal's access at any time from your Google account, under Security → Third-party apps with account access (also called "third-party connections"). Revoking access there stops future use of your data. To request deletion of data held by the operator, email admin@jtroyer.dev and we will act on the request.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this URL. Your continued use of Hermes Personal after a change means you accept the updated policy.
